<p>Validation Team Lead</p> <p>Contract Type: Permanent</p> <p>Job Location: Belgium - Zaventem</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a Validation Team Lead to head our diverse, multi-disciplinary Validation & Integration (V&I) team in Belgium. The team operates across diverse engineering domains including Mechanical, Optical, Electronics, High Power, Firmware, Communication Protocols, and IoT. You will be responsible for leading and growing the team, organizing workloads, and fostering strong collaboration both within the team and with cross-functional partners.</p> <p>You will coordinate all validation and integration activities, ensuring alignment with quality standards, project timelines, and cost objectives. This role requires close collaboration with our V&I teams in other locations (Europe, USA, China) to align ways of working and results.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop the Belgian V&I team, organizing workloads and fostering collaboration. </li><li>Balance assignments and coordinate all activities to meet quality, timeline, and cost objectives. </li><li>Collaborate with V&I teams in other locations to align processes and results. </li><li>Participate in and organize validation & integration activities for global product development projects. </li><li>Lead validation activities for engineering changes and supplier resourcing. </li><li>Develop, define, and maintain Validation Requirement Traceability Matrices (VRTM) for new products, including acceptance criteria, test procedures, and test reports. </li><li>Interpret and apply internal and external product requirements and standards (e.g., FAA, ICAO, CAAC, IEC). </li><li>Coordinate validation test plans and schedules to meet project requirements. </li><li>Research and coordinate with third-party test laboratories as needed. </li><li>Review and analyze test data to ensure product requirements are met. </li><li>Communicate project status and validation results to project teams and other business functions. </li><li>Drive digitalization and automation of test procedures and setups, including data collection, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Skills</p> <ul> <li>MSc. in Engineering (preferably Electronics or Computer Science) or equivalent. </li><li>7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role. </li><li>Strong project management skills. </li><li>Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with both short- and long-term deadlines. </li><li>Knowledge of data engineering/science, electronics, and firmware. </li><li>Background in product testing and validation. </li><li>Continuous improvement mindset. </li><li>Willingness to travel abroad approximately 2-3 times a year. </li><li>Knowledge of test and measurement tools and methodologies. </li><li>Insight into production processes. </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have</p> <ul> <li>Experience with airfield products & systems (e.g., lights, CCRs, ILCMS systems). </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., FAA, ICAO, CAAC). </li><li>Experience with AI and test automation. </li><li>Experience rolling out global processes and procedures. </li></ul> <p>What's on offer:</p> <ul> <li>A dynamic and challenging environment that encourages growth and learning. </li><li>Opportunities to shape the future of our industry and make a significant impact on our company's business </li><li>A collaborative culture that values innovation, integrity, and inclusivity. </li><li>Competitive compensation packages, including health benefits etc. </li></ul> <p>If you want to join a global business and enjoy being a team player who's driven and passionate, then this is your opportunity to come on board by applying!</p> <p>What to learn more about working at ADB SAFEGATE then check out our Career's website https://adbsafegate.com/about/career/</p>
