Introduction to Blue Oval City

Ford is investing $5.6 billion to build its state-of-the art manufacturing facilities at Blue Oval City in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will produce the next generation electric trucks, with production beginning in 2027. On 3,600 acres, we are building our first mega campus in more than a generation - and it's electric. This brand-new facility will use Ford's 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and will be among the largest automotive manufacturing campus in U.S. history. Like the iconic Rouge complex in Michigan, done a century earlier, Blue Oval City will usher in a new era for American manufacturing and will harness Ford's global manufacturing expertise and innovative technologies. Blue Oval City embodies the transformational Ford+ plan for growth and value creation in combining existing strengths and new capabilities. Blue Oval City aspires to have 100% renewable energy, zero waste to landfill and reusing water to help make sure our planet is in it for the long haul.

The Battery Pack Team Manager position at Blue Oval City - Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center (TEVC) will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up.

Battery Pack Lead Process Coach Maintenance Tevc

What You'll Do…

Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS) Key Unifying Processes (KUP)

Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems and principles

Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to achieve zero injuries

Ensure compliance with Quality Operating System practices to achieve zero defects

Use Andon data to prioritize efforts to achieve 100% flow

Support constraint analysis reviews and coordinate activities with proper teams to eliminate bottlenecks

Coach preventive and predictive maintenance activities within the areas of responsibility or where it is required

Identify spare parts and preventive maintenance job plans for new equipment, and review effectiveness for existing job plans

Improve existing maintenance job plans based on failures, feedback from work team and engineering team

Plan, coordinate, and execute highly technical training for the personnel within the department

Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards

Serve as maintenance liaison for launch-related Pro-Tag and Arc Flash updates, Construction Service Safety audits/compliance checks, and interdepartmental Pre-Task Analyses

Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings

Monitor, control, and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU)

Manage and support material control (spare part inventory), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews

Supervise salaried employees

Communication to work teams and Recognition of accomplishments

Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks

Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents

Lead all daily, weekend and shutdown maintenance planning with input from your team(s) and engineering

Maximize equipment effectiveness through a detailed, standardized, and prioritized preventive and predictive maintenance plan designed to improve

productivity

Provide resources, support, and priorities for all maintenance actions;
