<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>Interview clients to gain an overview of client financial resources and social circumstance relevant to the eligibility of services; will do in-depth interviews to establish clients' eligibility for specific programs and benefits, such as SNAP and medical services. Workers will determine eligibility for economic assistance using eligibility manuals and guidelines. Workers will need to substantiate the client's data by contacting banks, employers, medical facilities, physicians, and neighbors as necessary, either by phone or letter. The worker will complete the appropriate economic service forms and enter the proper codes for computers that will authorize services for clients; let the clients know what types of benefits are available to be received. Updates each assigned client's case file by scheduling periodic office visits with client. Take calls from clients and the public, will see clients in the office that request information on economic service programs that we offer. Composes brief social summary of client's circumstances, assesses need for social service intervention; directs client to community resources when needs cannot be met through economic services and /or additional assistance is required. Explains economic service policies, rules & regulations to client so that it is clear on the application, forms, and benefits. Workers will figure out the amount of benefits clients will receive using appropriate monetary guidelines and track collection of payments on food stamp program. Transportation must be available because travel is required. Workers must possess a valid driver's license. Performs related work as required.</p> <p>Mandatory overtime.</p> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training:Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.</p> <p>Substitution: Any combination of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience providing direct client services such as interviewing clients, customers or the public, and evaluating the data against established standards and guidelines may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing customer service, telemarketing, retail or clerical work may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Successful completion of college coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis. Every thirty (30) credit hours of education will equal one (1) year of training.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Experience in Economic Services work requiring program eligibility decisions may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience will equal (2) years of training.</p> <p>Special Requirement: A valid driver's license may be required.</p>
