<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>The Director of Finance - Acute Care provides strategic and operational financial leadership for Trinity Health Of New England's acute care hospitals. Reporting to the Regional CFO, this role oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital strategy, while collaborating closely with system, regional, and hospital leadership. The position serves on the Saint Francis Hospital Senior Leadership Team and plays a critical role in driving financial stewardship, sustainability, and performance in a complex healthcare environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide strategic finance leadership for acute care hospitals in partnership with the Regional CFO.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead operating and capital budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for acute care entities.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and deliver consolidated operating and capital budgets for Trinity Health of New England.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee financial performance management, including ET-9/OEI reporting and target achievement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Decision Support, Labor Stabilization, Capital Operations, and System Office partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Advise hospital Presidents and Senior Leadership Teams on financial strategy, operations, and market opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure financial policies, controls, and reporting comply with GAAP, regulatory, and accrediting requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Support Board and Finance Committee reporting and presentations.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead, mentor, and develop acute care finance teams, including Directors, Managers, and Analysts.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote Trinity Health's Mission, Vision, and Values through ethical, transparent, and collaborative leadership.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related) strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of progressive healthcare finance experience, including 5+ years in a Director-level role.</p> </li><li> <p>Deep knowledge of healthcare finance, budgeting, capital planning, and operational performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to lead in a matrixed, system-based healthcare organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work collaboratively and lead through influence.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Office-based role with limited regional travel.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex healthcare system.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reporting Structure</p> <ul> <li> <p>Reports to: Regional Chief Financial Officer (dotted line to Saint Francis Hospital President)</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises: Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts</p> </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
