<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Educational Aide/Parapro/Support Staff/Special Education Aide</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>6/12/2024</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Mason City Schools - Mason Early Childhood Center</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Mason City School District&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Mason City School District</p> <p>Posting Date: June 12, 2024</p> <p>Position: Preschool Aide</p> <p>Location: Mason Early Childhood Center</p> <p>Hours: Monday - Thursday</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Under supervision of the intervention specialist, provides direct instruction to students. </li><li>Implements behavior plans designed by intervention specialist to modify behaviors that interfere with learning. </li><li>Working one on one with a student with special needs in a preschool environment within the school building. </li><li>Participate in team and planning meetings. </li><li>Clean and disinfect toys and equipment on a regularly scheduled basis. </li><li>Change diapers and soiled clothing as necessary and clean runny noses, practicing universal precautions (wear gloves, use disinfectant, etc.). </li><li>Follow through with therapy/classroom intervention, as directed by therapists/teacher. </li><li>Complete in service training in the areas of early childhood education: </li></ul> <p>a. Child abuse prevention and recognition</p> <p>b. Communicable diseases</p> <p>c. All other training as required</p> <ul> <li>Nurture children and facilitate play following developmentally appropriate practice. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of staff, students, and families associated with the preschool program in accordance with FERPA guidelines. </li><li>Provides physical assistance when needed for students with physical, behavioral, or safety needs, including lifting, positioning, transferring, prompting, escorting, and/or monitoring. </li><li>Assists in documentation of student performance and data collection. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must have a high school diploma or GED </li><li>Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI criminal background check </li></ul> <p>Interested individuals should complete the on-line application.</p> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p>
