<p>Hours: Monday - Thursday 5pm-5am</p> <p>Pay: $27.70 an hour plus night shift differential of $2.00 an hour</p> <p>Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Dredge and Plant Operator to be responsible for operating heavy equipment and maintenance of the plant. This position will perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cutting and welding, in a hydraulic dredging environment. Primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently perform maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment. Track maintenance and repair records. Use a skid steer, front end loader, manlift and clean around plant equipment and to maintain roadways and parking areas. Additionally participate in safety inspections and plant safety program.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining </li><li>Perform daily inspection of equipment and work area </li><li>Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment </li><li>Maintain consistent and efficient operation of plant </li><li>Inspect and lubricate equipment and plant operations </li><li>Diagnose and assist in trouble-shooting when process is interrupted </li><li>Test material to maintain specs, no DOT training necessary </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; </li><li>1+ years related experience </li><li>Bi-lingual is a plus </li></ul> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.</p> <p>Working conditions</p> <p>This job will require operating with larger equipment which is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.</p>
