<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Assists Catering Manager to execute all catering duties of the the Catering Department which includes various office tasks.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receive and resolve inquiries including business related decisions as assigned by the supervisor. </li><li>Perform variety of clerical duties and other duties pertinent to the establishment. </li><li>Assist Catering Manager to plan and coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu selection, event setup, staffing, and logistics, while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. </li><li>Assist Catering Manager to supervise and train catering staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management, to ensure efficient and professional service delivery. </li><li>Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, resolving complaints, and ensuring their satisfaction with catering services. </li><li>Collaborate with clients to design customized menus, taking into account dietary restrictions, preferences, and budgetary considerations. </li><li>Manage inventory and ordering of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective purchasing practices. </li><li>Along with Catering Manager, work with Production to oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. </li><li>Assist Catering Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies to promote catering services, increase revenue, and attract new clients. </li><li>Assist Catering Manager to collaborate with other departments, such as sales and event planning, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation related to catering operations, including contracts, invoices, and client information. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Customer Service </li><li>Work Organization </li><li>Dependability </li><li>Job Knowledge </li><li>Attention to Communication </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Associate or Technical Degree </li><li>One year of relevant experience </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>401(k) matching</p> </li><li> <p>Tuition benefits for employee and qualified dependents</p> </li><li> <p>Medical and Dental</p> </li><li> <p>Short- and Long-term disability benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Paid parental and maternity leave</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Frequent standing and walking. </li><li>Regularly lifting, loading, and moving up to 10 pounds with occasional moving up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </li></ul> <p>As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, BYU-Hawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing, as authorized under 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.5 (a)(6).
