<p>POSITION TITLE: Mechanical Services Specialist/Electro Mechanical Tech</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: 506</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager</p> <p>CLASSIFICATION: Hourly</p> <p>Position Summary: Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and rebuilds a variety of CNC manufacturing equipment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment. </li><li>Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions, repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling of machine assemblies; and the ability to perform complex diagnosis and repair of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. Including CNC machines and PLC controlled equipment. </li><li>Excellent mechanical aptitude with a "hands on" approach to problem solving. </li><li>Knowledge of VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers). </li><li>Must be able to read Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical drawings. </li><li>Routinely collaborates with other trades/job classifications and Operations; may lead repair project. </li><li>Installs, repairs and maintains electrical wiring, circuitry, control panels, fixtures, motors, and equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code. </li><li>Performs systematic electrical and electronic trouble-shooting. </li><li>Able to write preliminary drafts of electrical schematics in prep for final drafting. </li><li>Orders parts and supplies. </li><li>Estimate labor hours and materials for specific jobs. </li><li>Will be involved in any number of facilities maintenance activities including installation of new equipment, facility repairs, cleaning, snow removal, painting, etc. </li><li>Follows established company directives, policies, quality documents and manufacturing instructions. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid State of Connecticut E2 license preferred; Associates Degree or Certification in </li></ul> <p>applicable discipline or relative Military experience will be considered.</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing equipment. </li><li>Experience in troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining equipment. </li><li>Experienced with CNC equipment. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. </li><li>Able to read and understand all diagrams and schematics, and engineering print(s) of: mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. </li><li>Able to interpret machine alarms, and can diagnose if the problem is with the program, machinery, or the operator. </li><li>Operate hoists and other lifting equipment, forklifts, and scissor lifts. </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. </li><li>Experience with PLC controls, ladder logic, microprocessor-based equipment, motor controls, relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, and circuits are preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Safely lift 35lbs. </li><li>Able to stand for extended periods. </li><li>Able to kneel, sit or lay on the ground to perform tasks as necessary. </li></ul>
