<p>SALARY</p> <p>The minimum salary is $23.339 per hour</p> <p>This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable</p> <p>Pay Grade 517</p> <p>FILING DEADLINE DATE</p> <p>The deadline to apply is Monday, March 16, 2026</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to monitor and supervise pre-adjudicated or adjudicated juveniles and investigate their history to develop rehabilitation plans to prevent recidivism.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field </li><li>One (1) year of related experience </li><li>Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience </li><li>Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Meets and monitors youth in the office, at home, school, work and/or in the community to provide counseling, education, and crisis intervention </li><li>Conducts interviews with youth and their families or guardians; investigates and analyzes their personal histories, family environment, and social and economic factors to develop rehabilitation plans </li><li>Serves as sworn officers to the court; issues and serves summons, provides dispositional reports on the youth, and makes recommendations regarding corrective measures and rehabilitation plans </li><li>Develops and implements programs such as home detention, electric monitoring, and life skills workshops to address identified needs of youth </li><li>Enters and maintains accurate and up to date case notes, statistics, drugs screen results, and other data and performs other administrative tasks as needed </li><li>Develops and maintains relationships with community partners, judges, police and school officers, attorneys, and service providers to advocate for youth, obtain needed resources, and/or refer for services </li><li>Conducts curfew and home detention monitoring, and drug screening to ensure compliance of Court orders and/or probation terms, as needed </li><li>Translates documents, interprets internal and external programs, and conducts presentations to the community regarding the juvenile justice system and probation and court services, as needed </li><li>Performs related work as assigned </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li><li>First Aid and CPR certification must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment and maintained as a condition of employment </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>May be required to work flexible hours, evenings, and/or weekends as assigned </li><li>All positions require drug testing, background check, Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) check, and State and National sex offender registry checks before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16 </li></ul> <p>HOW TO APPLY</p> <p>Submit LFUCG electronic application through lexingtonky.gov/jobs and attach/upload applicable documents to verify your education, training, certification/license(s), or DD214 (for military preference with appropriate discharge) by filing deadline date.</p> <p>RESUMES CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE APPLICATION, but are highly encouraged to be attached/uploaded to the application.</p> <p>Please note that the section titled "Application Questionnaire" has to be completed every time a new or revised application is submitted.
