<p>Work schedule:</p> <p>100% FTE, 7:00am-4:00pm, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.</p> <p>We are looking for an EMS Educator to:</p> <ul> <li>Design and deliver EMS education programs including CPR, EMT, Intermediate, and Paramedic courses in accordance with established standards. </li><li>Evaluate and support EMS learners and staff through exams, continuing education, field supervision, and licensure preparation. </li><li>Develop curriculum and manage educational programs by maintaining course materials, records, equipment, and accreditation requirements. </li><li>Partner with EMS leadership and staff to support quality improvement, field performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development. </li></ul> <p>Additional components of compensation may include:</p> <p>Evening, night, and weekend shift differential</p> <p>Overtime</p> <p>On-call pay</p> <p>At UW Health in northern Illinois, you will have:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package including: PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, retirement, short and long-term disability, paternity leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance </li><li>Annual wellness reimbursement </li><li>Opportunity for on-site day care through UW Health Kids </li><li>Tuition reimbursement for career advancement--ask about our fully funded programs! </li><li>Abundant career growth opportunities to nurture professional development </li><li>Strong shared governance structure </li><li>Commitment to employee voice </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>Prefer active EMT-P, RN with current field and teaching experience. Preferred </li><li>At least two years field experience in Emergency Services. Required </li></ul> <p>Licenses & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Within first year of employment must attain the following certifications; Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor, Basic Life Support Instructor. Required </li><li>Bi-annual CPR certification. Required </li><li>Current Illinois Paramedic licensure within the State of Illinois.
