The individual is responsible for programming and maintaining control logic, HMI, alarms, and all levels of control engineering applications. The role supports troubleshooting and improvement requests from Operations and interfaces with Engineering, Instrumentation, Measurement, Environmental, and Process Safety teams to improve control system reliability and build and optimize plant assets.</p> <p>This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. The actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.</p> <p>Relocation: Is available to Midland, TX, or San Antonio, TX.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops regulatory and complex control logic to meet operational and economic objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Creates/Revises Cause and Effect diagrams and detailed control system narrative documents</p> </li><li> <p>Applies HMI best practices to control system graphics</p> </li><li> <p>Commissions projects, including new control system hardware and I/O</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in alarm management improvement efforts</p> </li><li> <p>Manages data reporting through control system historian and PI interfaces, PI Vision displays</p> </li><li> <p>Builds communication interfaces, including, but not limited to, Vapor Recovery, Burner Management, Compressor Control, and Motor Control systems</p> </li><li> <p>Understands process hazard lifecycle and associated functional safety and SIS applications</p> </li><li> <p>Reads, reviews and marks up P&IDs, loop drawings and electrical drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in Management of Change activities as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Performs troubleshooting and incident investigations</p> </li><li> <p>Supports a wide range of communications protocols including Modbus, OPC, DeviceNet and EtherNet IP</p> </li><li> <p>Works in close collaboration with the OT and Cyber Security groups in supporting and maintaining network system availability, reliability, and security</p> </li><li> <p>Works Monday-Friday schedule with possible extended hours to support 24/7 operation, including on call rotation covering nights/weekends/holidays</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED is required for Analyst role. </li><li>Bachelor's degree is Required n Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering for Engineer role. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5+ years industry experience in Process Automation and Control, SCADA, I&E, or process engineering </li></ul> <p>Specialized Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>HMI Design and Development</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with DeltaV DCS</p> </li><li> <p>Programming PLC controllers (Allen Bradley, Schneider/Modicon)</p> </li><li> <p>AOI/DFB design & development</p> </li><li> <p>ROC800 series programming</p> </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>This position requires sitting and working at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. This position will also require traveling to field locations to interact with field staff and management as needed and may require overnight stays.</p> <p>Travel Expectations:</p> <p>West Texas - up to 25%</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Working in an office or control room environment.
