We are looking for people with a strong sense of purpose and focus to continually build confidence in yourself and our organization.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Program Overview</p> <p>Youth Villages' Residential Treatment programs serve children with emotional and behavioral problems. Our residential campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program that combines the unique balance of structure and freedom. This enables children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings. We have three different types of facilities-Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes. Located in Tennessee and Georgia, all of these facilities utilize the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <ul> <li>Interior and exterior painting of residential structures, ceilings, walls, doors, trim </li><li>Knowledge of paints, (Oil, stains, laxex, DTM, epoxy and latex, ect) </li><li>Carpentry experince </li><li>Drywall repair experince </li><li>Capable of cutting/ rolling door jambs,walls and celinings </li><li>Selecting the correct tools and paints for projects. </li><li>Knowlegde of paint finishes and preparing walls and other surfaces before painting. </li><li>Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish. </li><li>Covering exposed objects and surfaces. </li><li>Using fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks. </li><li>Buying paint, brushes, and other supplies. </li><li>Obeying workplace safety rules. </li><li>Collaborating with other design and construction specialists. </li><li>Keeping the workspace and tools clean and works in an organized fashion. </li><li>Primarily a full-time painitng position typical schedule M-F 7am - 3:30pm, but may assist in special / other events and be able to adjust schedule to accomplish some tasks as necessary </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>High school diploma/GED preferred</p> <p>One year of painting experience in residential or commercial spaces</p> <p>One year of experience in general maintenance preferredMust be willing to travel.</p> <p>Drivers License Required Must be able to perform On Call duties(nights and weekends included).</p> <p>Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, high lifts, operate all power and hand tools.Capable of performing sustained manual labor.</p> <p>Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.</p> <p>Able to observe area needs and accomplish in a timely manner with little oversight.</p> <p>Other duties, as assigned.</p> <p>Experience growth and development through our continuous training, as well as tuition and licensure reimbursement, or pursue opportunities to advance both clinically and administratively with Youth Villages.</p> <p>Additional Benefits</p> <p>Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug Coverage and VisionRetirement Savings Pension Plan401(k)2 weeks paid vacation12 paid sick days per year11 paid holidays</p> <p>Paid Parental LeaveMileage & Cell Phone Reimbursement (when applicable)</p> <p>Youth Villages is an equal opportunity employer and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.</p> <p>Youth Villages is committed to not only advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace but also in our work with children and young adults.
