They collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support for trials and troubleshooting, and maintain documentation. The position reports to the Plant Superintendent and is part of the Steering and Leadership Teams.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead process improvements to optimize cost, safety, quality, and sustainability</p> </li><li> <p>Manage process development, raw material changes, and product transfers in coordination with cross-functional teams</p> </li><li> <p>Support quality and compliance through RCA, audits, and process optimization</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement operating procedures for new products and processes</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and maintain technical expertise</p> </li><li> <p>Independently manage projects, including small investments, with authority to make decisions and purchase within budget</p> </li><li> <p>Travel as needed to support operations across sites; report to the Superintendent with input from the PRT Director</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required</p> </li><li> <p>An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with of 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience in batch manufacturing and a strong track record of leadership in environmental, health, and safety (EH&S), including both personal and process safety</p> </li><li> <p>Solid background in project management, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex environments</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in developing project plans, setting realistic objectives, and delivering accurate forecasts</p> </li><li> <p>Training or familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Process Safety Management (PSM), and ISO 9001 standards is preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>The Evonik Group adopts an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) approach.
