If you are a self-motivated professional with excellent technical skills, federal/state/local environmental regulatory knowledge, and existing relationships with clients, prospects, and regulators then this is a great opportunity to explore!</p> <p>Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:</p> <p>Using knowledge of various engineering and scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, food, soil, water, and other sources. Work may include waste treatment, site remediation, or pollution control technology.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions. </li><li>Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate. </li><li>Technical Troubleshooting: Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments. </li><li>Drawings and Figures: Create drawings and figures to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions. </li><li>Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. </li><li>Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. </li><li>Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. </li><li>Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. </li><li>Client & Customer Management (External): Help colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. </li><li>Understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of contaminants including VOCs, SVOCs, metals, and PFAS. </li><li>Coordinate and simultaneously manage multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment. </li><li>Ability to travel, which will include overnight travel. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering, geology, or environmental science. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5-10 years experience including a mix of field, data evaluation and interpretation and technical report writing. </li><li>Minimum 2 years experience managing projects. </li><li>Professional designation/license (Professional Engineer, Certified Professional Geologist, etc.) a plus. </li><li>Experience with solid waste or coal combustion residual (CCR) management a plus. </li><li>Experience preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure. </li><li>Working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater. </li><li>Working knowledge of the design and operation and maintenance of remediation systems. </li><li>OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification. </li></ul> <p>As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
