<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>$7,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible candidates</p> <p>A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A Polysomnographic Technologist is able to perform the duties defined and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. </li><li>High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or Associates Degree in Polysomnography (Sleep Technology) is required. </li><li>Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and Registered as RPSGT with North Carolina Medical Board. </li><li>0 to 3 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Sleep Science/Neurodiagnostics/Sleep Technology may be substituted for 2 years of experience </li></ul> <p>Clinical Ladder</p> <p>Other Information</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primary Shift: Night</p> </li><li> <p>12-hour shifts at night</p> </li><li> <p>7:30pm - 8:00pm, Sunday - Tuesday track or Wednesday - Friday track</p> </li><li> <p>On Call: No</p> </li><li> <p>Weekends: Yes</p> </li><li> <p>IMPORTANT: This position is listed as a Polysomnographic Technologist I, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as a Polysomnographic Technologist I, II, III or IV.</p> </li><li> <p>#LI-NM1</p> </li></ul> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health Medical Center</p> <p>ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
