This position manages user security, system configurations, custom</p> <p>pages, fields, imports, exports, reports, and workflows that support efficient school and district operations. The</p> <p>specialist collaborates with administrators, counselors, office staff, technology staff, and the PowerSchool team</p> <p>to support annual setup processes, troubleshoot system issues, improve data accuracy, and develop reporting</p> <p>tools that support teaching, learning, and decision-making. This role also helps district and building</p> <p>administrators identify effective ways to use PowerSchool to meet their operational and instructional goals.</p> <p>TASK AREAS</p> <ul> <li>Manage PowerSchool security roles, user access, and security groups to ensure appropriate </li></ul> <p>permissions for district, school, and department-level users.</p> <ul> <li>Create, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerSchool pages, screens, fields, forms, and </li></ul> <p>administrative workflows.</p> <ul> <li>Manage PowerSchool imports and exports, including scheduled data transfers, one-time data requests, </li></ul> <p>and recurring operational data files.</p> <ul> <li>Manage and support Registration through the integration of PowerSchool Enrollment </li><li>Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerSchool reports to support building administrators, district </li></ul> <p>leaders, counselors, teachers, and support staff.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with school administrative teams to identify reporting needs that support teaching, learning, </li></ul> <p>student services, attendance, discipline, grading, and operational decision-making.</p> <ul> <li>Support the annual PowerSchool school year setup process in coordination with the PowerSchool </li></ul> <p>team, building administrators, counselors, and district leadership.</p> <ul> <li>Manage custom fields, custom pages, and system configurations that improve operational efficiency </li></ul> <p>and support district processes.</p> <ul> <li>Review and improve PowerSchool workflows to reduce manual work, increase data accuracy, and </li></ul> <p>strengthen consistency across schools.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a district-level PowerSchool technical and administrative support resource for administrators </li></ul> <p>and key office staff.</p> <ul> <li>Assist district and school administrators in identifying the best ways to use PowerSchool to support </li></ul> <p>their goals, initiatives, and daily operations.</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot PowerSchool issues related to access, configuration, data integrity, reports, imports, </li></ul> <p>exports, and user workflows.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with PowerSchool support, third-party vendors, and internal technology staff to resolve </li></ul> <p>system issues and implement improvements.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain documentation for PowerSchool processes, security roles, customizations, reports, imports, </li></ul> <p>exports, and annual setup procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Provide training, guidance, and support to district and building staff on PowerSchool tools, workflows, </li></ul> <p>reports, and best practices.</p> <ul> <li>Monitor PowerSchool system use, data quality, and operational needs to recommend improvements </li></ul> <p>that support efficient and effective district operations.</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>RELEVANT TECHNOLOGIES:</p> <ul> <li>PowerSchool </li><li>PowerSchool Enrollment </li><li>Data Server Management for SQL Processing of PS Data </li><li>Clever </li></ul> <p>EVALUATION</p> <p>Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on</p> <p>evaluation of Educational Support Personnel.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <ul> <li>Twelve month work year </li><li>Fringe benefits: Health, dental and life insurance plus sick leave, personal business leave </li><li>Salary: Established by the Board of Education </li></ul>
