<p>Primary Function</p> <p>At the administrative direction of the Radiology Manager and the clinical direction of the Radiologist/Team Leader, independently performs all exams without any supervision within the section employed. Serves as a positive role model, while working in collaboration with all levels of departmental personnel.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Competently operates all units of the sections imaging equipment including X-Ray, Mammography and Bone Density, while performing high-quality procedures in a safe and efficient manner. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Review requisitions to determine proper room set up and amounts of radiation. Study views required for examination relative to patients anatomy and perform examinations. </li></ol> <p>3.Evaluate diagnostic films to ensure quality studies, having unsuitable films repeated as necessary.</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Independently performs quality control procedures at the designated intervals on imaging and ancillary equipment to ensure compliance with Federal and Joint Commission standards of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Train employees and students in day-to-day procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates, communicates and problem solves regularly with other divisions of the department and establishes ongoing lines of communication with other</p> </li></ol> <p>departments through meetings and discussions. Works proactively with other departments to facilitate patient access to the scheduling of exams.</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Demonstrates competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the Radiology information System(RIS), Clinical Information System(CIS), Picture Archiving System(PACS) and other computer systems unique to each imaging section.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in continuing education activities as required by the section employed.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all other related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Job Qualifications and Specifications</p> <p>An Associates degree in Radiologic Technology and minimum six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification Required.
