Our systems are supported by staff throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Malaysia, and China.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The PCB/PCBA Specialist is responsible for hand-soldering through-hole and surface mount components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) ensuring high-quality workmanship in the production of electronic assemblies.</p> <p>This position reports to the Load and Wire Supervisor and according to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) is classified as non-exempt.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions </li><li>Inspect solder joints for quality and correct any defects </li><li>Record all deviations and modifications from original design </li><li>Identify and report assembly or part defects to supervisors or quality control </li><li>Trim component leads and clean boards with strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination </li><li>Maintain confidentiality and security of intellectual property (CUI-ITAR, Prototype). </li></ul> <p>What You Bring to the Table</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to support individuals with disabilities.</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain a full time schedule </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification </li><li>1+ years of experience in hand soldering electronic components (through-hole/surface mount) with precision and consistency </li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings to accurately place components </li><li>Proven ability working with tools such as soldering irons, cutters, magnifiers, and microscopes </li><li>Thorough understanding and adherence to safety and ESD procedures. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a mid- to high-volume electronics manufacturing environment </li><li>Ability to learn specialized machines. </li></ul> <p>What to Expect at Work</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have excellent natural or corrected vision. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those you may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>Being present at work is critical to the success of this role </li><li>Indoor climate controlled </li><li>Works around equipment moving mechanical parts </li><li>Regular exposure to manufacturing areas which may entail exposure to dirt, dust, noise, machine chemicals, fumes and other attributes common to this environment. </li></ul> <p>This job description reflects management's assignment of key responsibilities; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.</p> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H1B status).</p> <p>Individual base pay is based on various factors, including work location, relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. For this role, our current base pay range for new hires is $18.00 - $24.00 per hour and is eligible for performance-based quarterly profit sharing.</p> <p>Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Circuit Check. Employees (and their dependents in most plans) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, short- and long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Employees are able to enroll in Circuit Check's 401k plan, in which the Company will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution.
