This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a thriving medical practice within the University of Tennessee Medical Center system.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Practice Manager will be responsible for organizing and maintaining overall business office functions, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving continuous growth. Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing scheduling, staffing, and front-office registration. </li><li>Managing back-office operations, order tracking, and payroll. </li><li>Ensuring quality control and insurance verification. </li><li>Leading performance improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:</p> <ul> <li>Paid Time Off (PTO) & Sick Leave </li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>Short-Term & Long-Term Disability (STD & LTD) </li><li>401(k) Plan with Immediate Vesting & Company Match </li><li>Life Insurance and More! </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Administrative & Operational Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Respond to administrative and technical inquiries with a high level of expertise. </li><li>Resolve complex issues and share knowledge across the health system. </li><li>Ensure compliance with the latest healthcare regulations, technologies, and trends. </li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and enforce security standards per UPA/UHS policies. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Staff Development</p> <ul> <li>Maintain appropriate staffing levels and monitor scheduling patterns. </li><li>Supervise and mentor office staff in accordance with department policies. </li><li>Address employee concerns professionally and confidentially, implementing corrective action plans as necessary. </li><li>Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations for promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions. </li><li>Foster a workplace culture that recognizes and rewards employee contributions. </li></ul> <p>Financial & Compliance Management</p> <ul> <li>Ensure accurate data entry, audits, and reporting of clinic statistics. </li><li>Oversee payroll processing, credentialing, and compliance with TOSHA, TJC, and regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Patient Experience & Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure smooth clinic operations, optimizing efficiency and patient flow. </li><li>Work closely with the billing office to manage insurance verification and patient accounts. </li><li>Address patient concerns and ensure high standards of customer satisfaction. </li><li>Implement processes to align with quality measures and department goals. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum two years of experience in a managerial role. </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in healthcare management. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of JCAHO, OSHA, CDC regulatory guidelines. </li><li>Ability to operate standard medical office equipment. </li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. </li><li>Ability to remain professional and positive in high-pressure situations. </li><li>High level of emotional intelligence and adaptability. </li></ul> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to lead a dynamic surgical practice while contributing to patient care excellence.
