<p>Position: Area Coordinator ll</p> <p>Pay Grade: 74</p> <p>Location: Transportation Services</p> <p>Term of Employment: 12 Months</p> <p>Reports To: Assistant Director of Transportation</p> <p>Knowledge and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise Bus Drivers in assigned area</p> </li><li> <p>Observe loading and unloading of students at school and provide feedback</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect regular and activity buses for damage and cleanliness</p> </li><li> <p>Compile and report to Coordinator III attendance and sub log data</p> </li><li> <p>Perform clerical office duties consisting of filing, typing, and record keeping</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule substitute drivers and monitors to insure all routes are covered each day</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate and monitor proper use of wheelchair restraint systems</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct monthly safety meetings with drivers and monitors</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in resolving bus, parent, and stop concerns</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all other duties as assigned by Executive Director, Assistant Director of Transportation, Supervisor and Coordinator III</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned by supervisor</p> </li></ul> <p>Acceptable Training and Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required to work a staggered schedule as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess a North Carolina CDL B with P and S endorsements with school bus certification.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED from regionally or nationally accredited institution(s). Associate Degree preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Broad based experience in school bus transportation.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret and apply local policy and state law as it pertains to school bus transportation.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions needed to fulfill required job duties. </li><li>Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with employees, Transportation Services staff, Central Services staff, and customers. </li></ul> <p>DISCLAIMERS: The above statements are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this position.
