<p>Overview</p> <p>Manager of Respiratory Services</p> <p>Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift</p> <p>Fort Sanders Regional Overview:</p> <p>Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is a 444-bed hospital recognized for pairing clinical expertise with advanced medical technology to deliver exceptional care. As a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, we provide leading-edge treatment for stroke recovery. Emphasis will be on coordination and communication among Respiratory Care Teams.</p> <p>Recruiter: Jennifer Gordon || apply@covhlth.com</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assures quality and diversity of Respiratory Care with guidance from the Medical Director. </li><li>Assesses and provides feedback on decentralized clinical team approach. </li><li>Facilitate TEAM development and implementation of long/short term goals and plans of decentralized functions. </li><li>Develop communication network for all Respiratory Care teams. </li><li>In conjunction with necessary departments, coordinate clinical competence of all personnel performing respiratory care procedures. </li><li>Develop and implement clinical policy and procedure as related to protocols and pathways. </li><li>Promote cultural change to develop and support the team approach to deliver patient care in the Clinical division. </li><li>Facilitate development of success measures, to include leadership, facilitator and team member implementation of long and short term goals for department teams. </li><li>Develop, review and update department specific policies and procedures. </li><li>Monitor and maintain department compliance to meet all regulatory agency requirements. </li><li>Provide personnel management to include staff placement, discipline, interviewing and orientation in conjunction with the Director. </li><li>Implement and assess individual/team performance appraisal and career ladder. </li><li>Assure daily operations are performed to include: staffing, interdisciplinary meetings, department statistics, payroll, charges, and inventory. </li><li>Assess capital equipment/supply needs and make recommendations in collaboration with the Director. </li><li>Act as a liaison to patients and other customers to provide timely and accurate communication and problem resolution. </li><li>Act as a primary contact of vendors for product evaluation and recommendation. </li><li>Determine and coordinate daily staffing ratios based on workload and staff. </li><li>Participates in technical and philosophical growth and development. </li><li>Coordinates and affirms accuracy of department record keeping. </li><li>Acts as a MIS liaison as requested. </li><li>Collaborates with the Director to identify learning needs of staff, ensure participation and evaluate clinical competency. </li><li>Participate in development and implementation of education and in-service programs for staff, students and other departments. </li><li>Collaborate with others to determine product standardization as needed. </li><li>Maintain department and clinical functions through team based employee empowerment. </li><li>Supports creativity, independent thinking, empowerment and flexibility among team members. </li><li>Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>Associate's degree preferred.</p> <p>Minimum Experience:</p> <p>At least four (4) years of respiratory care experience and two (2) years managerial experience.</p> <p>Required Licensure:</p> <p>Current Tennessee license and NBRC credentials. CPR required.</p>
