This program is one of our Career, Vocational and Technical Education programs and supports and works closely with our Little Rangers Pre-School housed on the campus of Methuen High School. The teacher is responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Teach the following courses: Early Childhood Exploration, Early Childhood Education and Care, and Early Childhood Education and Care Outplacement Internships. </li><li>Work with the Little Rangers Pre-School staff to plan push in lessons and activities. </li><li>Work with the MPS elementary school teachers to place students for interships. </li><li>Log student hours and manage internship requirements. </li><li>Help build upon the current program and think creatively to meet the needs of all students. </li></ul> <p>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>To develop in each student, the necessary knowledge and skills relating to child development, proper care of infants, toddlers, and young children in a home and school settings.</p> <p>Applicants will also be responsible for the organization of course work using the CVTE Frameworks as directed by the DESE CVTE department for Early Education & Care.</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>Based on training and experience according to the current salary schedule as negotiated by Unit A of the Methuen Education Association</p> <p>OUR MISSION:</p> <p>Methuen Public Schools enrolls approximately 7000 in a total of five schools.
