Students in the certificate program are prepared for entry-level careers in residential and light commercial HVAC-R installation, with introductory training in service. Students completing the Associate Degree are prepared for a variety of careers in commercial/industrial HVAC-R as well as to continue on for a Bachelor's degree.</p> <p>Sinclair seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty that carries out the mission of the college with dedication, innovation and a commitment to the success of each student. Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty for day, evening, online and weekend courses at our downtown Dayton campus.</p> <p>The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $986 per credit hour assigned to teach. This position description does not represent in any way a contract of employment. </li></ul> <p>Principal Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department </li><li>Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning </li><li>Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies </li><li>Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate </li><li>Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student's needs </li><li>Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success </li><li>Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student progress </li><li>Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of student information </li><li>Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field required, master's degree in the Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred; OR must meet the specific requirements associated with Tested Experience: </li></ul> <p>Tested Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of an associate's degree in the content area or related field required AND possession of the EPA 608 Refrigerant Handler's License required when teaching courses involving the use and handling of refrigerants</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three (3) years of relevant HVAC field experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Tridium Niagara Workstation and Elitesoft RHVAC and CHVAC building loads software preferred.
