Confers with the PE Farm Manager, PE Regional Manager and PE Agricultural Manager regarding inmate assignments, transfers, and security. Additionally, confers and informs the PE Farm Manager, PE Regional Manager & PE Agriculture Manager on reports, preventative maintenance programs, new products, new processes and expansions of existing agriculture operations.</p> <p>Prison Enterprises is an ancillary "Enterprise Fund", operating entirely on a self-generated revenue with a staff of approximately 68, operating over 30 individual cost centers at 7 correctional facilities across this State, along with a Headquarters location in Baton Rouge. </p> <p>Position-Specific Details: </p> <p>Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE </p> <ul> <li>Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.  </li><li>An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.  </li><li>This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment.
