IRH offers a competitive salary & outstanding benefits!</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Forklift Mechanic will perform skilled and complex mechanical repairs. Perform the duties of a mechanic involved in inspecting, repairing, fabricating, rebuilding, and maintaining light and heavy-duty forklifts. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Shop Foreman</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs highly skilled and complex mechanical repairs on both light and heavy forklifts. </li><li>Inspect forklifts, analyze, troubleshoot, and plan sequence of repair operations. </li><li>Adjust or repair hydraulic, fuel and electrical systems and components. </li><li>Test, and identify worn and damaged parts. </li><li>Test, repair or install electrical systems and components. </li><li>Test, repair or install hydraulic systems and components. </li><li>Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment. </li><li>Test drive to diagnose or to verify corrections made. </li><li>Perform state and federal safety inspections. </li><li>Complete daily paperwork and repair orders. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>5 years' experience with forklift maintenance. </li><li>Self-motivated, capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision. </li><li>Must have a complete set of tools. </li><li>Must have knowledge of hydraulic systems. </li><li>Must be able to pass physical abilities test and a drug screen upon hire as well as random periodic screenings. </li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance. </li><li>Must have a clean driving record and be 21 years old or older for insurability purposes. </li></ul>
