<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Bellarmine University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the Biology Department starting August 2026. Applicants will minimally be expected to teach and lead human cadaver dissections in Human Gross Anatomy/Lab, teach Vertebrate Physiology and contribute to General Biology and/or Neuroscience courses as needed by the department. Preferred candidates will have experience developing and delivering these or similar courses. Qualified candidates will be expected to manage operations of the Gross Anatomy laboratory, including procurance, supervision and return of donor cadavers, disposal of wastes, and purchasing and maintenance of supplies as well as establish an active research program and supervise undergraduate researchers. Evidence of teaching excellence is strongly desired.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Qualified candidates must have:</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related field with academic training in Human Gross Anatomy and Advanced Physiology. </li><li>An active research program with the ability to supervise undergraduate researchers is required. </li><li>Experience teaching Human Gross Anatomy and Vertebrate Physiology at the undergraduate level is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Bellarmine University Biology Department Statement on Intrinsic Dignity and Belonging:</p> <p>In the Spirit of Thomas Merton and our university's Catholic tradition, the faculty, staff, and students of Bellarmine University's Biology Department are committed to making our department and discipline more inclusive and respectful of the intrinsic dignity of every person with whom we share our world.
