You'll partner closely with internal teams, distributors, and suppliers to improve communication, resolve inventory challenges, and strengthen our end-to-end distribution processes.</p> <p>Why this role matters: This role directly impacts product availability, operational efficiency, and the reliability of our supply chain across all Maverik locations.</p> <p>Location/Schedule: This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule.</p> <p>Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:</p> <p>This position ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of item setup and distribution processes. You'll coordinate efforts across internal teams and external partners while identifying opportunities to improve communication and streamline operations.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate setup, forecasting, ordering, and delivery processes for new, discontinued, and promotional items. </li><li>Review distributor inventory and movement reports to identify supply chain concerns. </li><li>Partner with Category Managers, Procurement Managers, distributor buyers, and suppliers to mitigate out-of-stocks. </li><li>Communicate frequently with internal departments regarding product distribution needs and updates. </li><li>Review and refine data communication between Maverik and broadline distributor systems. </li><li>Develop and manage processes for item authorization, orderability timing, and vendor profile accuracy. </li><li>Identify opportunities for distribution consolidation and efficiency improvements. </li><li>Consult with internal departments on distribution avenues for retail, store supplies, and equipment. </li><li>Support a 24/7 operation with occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday work as needed. </li></ul> <p>You'll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in retail operations, distribution operations, or a related field. </li><li>Experience with computer-based ordering systems and inventory/distribution reporting. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). </li><li>Strong internal and external customer focus. </li><li>Familiarity with PDI back-office software. </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across teams. </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and follow through with minimal oversight. </li><li>A collaborative mindset with strong self-awareness, empathy, and professionalism. </li><li>Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve routine issues and escalate when needed. </li><li>A commitment to delivering dependable, high-quality work with attention to detail. </li><li>The Maverik Spirit - you're a clear communicator, team player, and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Bonus points if you also bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field </li><li>Associate degree or 5+ years of retail management or distribution experience </li><li>Experience working with distributors, suppliers, or inventory management processes </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Pay Range: $80,000-$90,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities</p> <p>The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.</p> <p>Benefits Include:</p> <ul> <li>Full Health, Dental, and Vision Package with company contribution </li><li>In-Store and Fuel Discounts </li><li>Retirement plan with company match (401K) </li><li>Eligibility for the annual incentive bonus program </li><li>Profit Sharing - when Maverik succeeds, so do you </li><li>Comprehensive Paid Time-Off Policy, plus additional perks and benefits </li></ul>
