The Telecommunications Technician primary job function is to ensure the continued operation of the telephone switches and all related hardware. The Telecommunications Technician coordinates and performs additions, moves and changes and installs and supports audio visual, video conferencing, teleconferencing and paging equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required </li><li>Minimum two year college degree in electronics/computer science or equivalent required </li></ul> <p>Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>BMVL required (Must maintain eligibility to drive as determined by SOMC's insurance carriers) </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum two years previous experience in telecommunications repair/troubleshooting preferred. </li><li>Networking fundamentals preferred </li><li>VoIP experience preferred </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</p> <p>The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job.
