<p>Job Description:</p> <p>GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Provide clinical instruction to freshman and sophomore level students in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, Day Option on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Evening/Weekend Option on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Instructional areas include fundamentals (subacute), pediatrics, maternity, medical-surgical nursing, community, and psych. The Nursing Clinical Instructor(s) play a vital role in educating and training nursing students in clinical settings. This position is responsible for providing guidance, support, and evaluation during clinical rotations, ensuring that students develop the necessary skills and competencies required for their nursing practice.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Clinical teaching in specific assigned clinical site/agency. </li><li>Facilitate hands-on learning experiences preparing students to apply in various healthcare settings. </li><li>Teach and demonstrate nursing skills and procedures to students. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate students' performance in clinical environments. </li><li>Mentor and guide students in their clinical practice. </li><li>Provide constructive feedback and assess students' competencies. </li><li>Foster a supportive and positive learning environment. </li><li>Assessment of student learning. </li><li>Attends faculty team meetings. </li><li>Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to enhance the educational experience </li><li>Participate in program evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.</p> </li><li> <p>Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess one of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in nursing OR</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing with letter of intent to complete one of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in Nursing Education/Clinical (CNEcl) within 3 years of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree within 5 years of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise and clinical experience in the area of application, including but not limited to fundamentals (subacute), pediatrics, maternity, community, psych, and medical-surgical nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to create an environment conducive to learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to assess and evaluate student performance effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in using educational technology and teaching tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty.</p> </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Previous teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred.</p> <p>Equivalency Statement</p> <p>Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>COMPENSATION: $65.17 per hour, up to 18 hours per week.
