<p>THE POSITION</p> <p>Bring your experience in equipment operation to the Department of Human Services! Clarks Summit State Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Operator B to join our Transportation and Grounds Team in the Facility Services Department. By operating equipment to maintain the grounds, you will help us keep our facilities running smoothly. Apply today and use your expertise to make a difference in the lives of others!</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF WORK</p> <p>In this position, you will operate a variety of medium weight, single chassis vehicles and maintenance equipment. Your work will involve operating equipment to meet transportation needs and provide general maintenance and construction material support, as well as seasonal snow and ice removal services. You will perform landscaping tasks, digging and excavating for projects, and demonstrating proper operation of equipment. Some of your duties will also include operating vans to provide patient escort services, delivering meals and food items throughout the hospital grounds, and performing preventative maintenance. Additionally, you will deliver supplies such as mail and oxygen tanks.</p> <p>Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.</p> <p>Work Schedule and Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time employment </li><li>Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, rotating weekend and holiday schedule. You will work a 12-hour shift every 5th or 6th weekend. </li><li>Travel and overtime as needed </li><li>This may change based on operational needs. </li><li>Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. </li><li>Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. </li><li>You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or </li><li>Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or </li><li>Any equivalent combination of experience or training. </li></ul> <p>Special Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires possession of a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>You must meet the PA residency requirement.
