In this specialized role, you will work with a strong community of lab professionals in a hospital setting. High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition.</p> <p>Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.</p> <p>Histology Laboratory performs a wide variety of routine histotechnologic procedures & histochemical stains. Our Immunohistochemistry area performs over 100 antibodies on both tissue sections & cytology specimens.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Role Purpose</p> <p>Responsible for providing a variety of routine and/or complex tests and procedures on tissue and related surgical specimens submitted for histological examination.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Understands test principles, theory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas.Tasks to include, but not limited to, microtomy, embedding, staining, reagent preparation. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
