<p>Curriculum Coordinator</p> <p>Purpose Statement</p> <p>The job of Curriculum Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of researching, developing, and implementing new and revised curricular materials in the areas of math and English Language Arts; providing leadership, coaching, and professional development specific to school leadership teams and instructional coaches; and ensuring that all classrooms are places where students' critical thinking skills are developed in these subject areas as they are presented with challenging curricular text, tasks, and learning.</p> <p>This job reports to Chief Academic Officer</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Coaches school leadership teams and instructional coaches on the use of data, including student work, for the purpose of identifying next steps for student academic growth and success.</p> <p>Collaborates with others (e.g. district personnel, other district personnel, community organizations, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs.</p> <p>Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.</p> <p>Models an eagerness to receive and implement feedback for the purpose of continuously improving teaching practices, enhancing professional growth, and maximizing student learning outcomes through a collaborative and reflective approach to professional development.</p> <p>Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.</p> <p>Prepares a variety of program-mandated reports for the purpose of ensuring ongoing funding by complying with network and/or grant program requirements.</p> <p>Presents information to District and Community groups (e.g. program offerings, participation levels, etc.) for the purpose of promoting program, gaining feedback, and complying with established internal controls.</p> <p>Provides coaching by instruction, co-teaching, and modeling for the school leadership teams and instructional coaches for the purpose of improving teacher practice through cycles of observation and feedback.</p> <p>Researches, innovative techniques/approaches to facilitate learning and pedagogy associated with the assigned learning areas for the purpose of enhancing instructional effectiveness, promoting student engagement, and staying abreast of best practices.</p> <p>Supervises development and facilitation of professional learning for leadership teams and instructional coaches for the purpose of raising the level of instructional performance and student achievement.</p> <p>Supports development of mathematics- and/or literacy-focused community engagement programming and extracurricular activities for the purpose of fostering a culture of lifelong learning, promoting academic enrichment beyond the classroom, and strengthening community partnerships.</p> <p>Uses data consistently (e.g. assessment, student growth, etc.) for the purpose of informing strategic decision making.</p> <p>Other Functions</p> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the area of teaching and learning.</p>
