<p>Kforce has a client in need of a highly skilled Senior Associate, Business Control & Risk Management to join their team and help drive consistent execution of risk management practices across business lines. This role operates within the First Line of Defense and serves as a strategic partner to stakeholders, embedding risk awareness and control into daily operations. This role is in Hartford, CT (East Coast or Central candidates only).</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Champion risk culture and ensure adherence to enterprise risk frameworks, policies, and standards </li><li>Facilitate training and maintain communication with stakeholders to promote risk awareness </li><li>Conduct continuous monitoring of internal and external risk sources, including credit, market/liquidity, operational, strategic, reputational, compliance, and model risks </li><li>Lead issue identification and resolution, including RCSA activities, internal control testing, and remediation validation </li><li>Manage and execute operational risk programs such as RCSA, Issues Management, Scenario Analysis, Top Risk, Material Risk Program, Event Escalation, and Loss Management* 5-10 years of experience in risk management or related fields </li><li>Proven ability to execute risk initiatives across diverse business lines </li><li>Advanced understanding of operational risk practices and regulatory environments </li><li>Strong judgment in escalation and risk communication to senior leadership </li><li>Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and leadership levels </li><li>Deep knowledge of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations and industry best practices </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in financial services or similar regulated industries </li><li>Ability to anticipate regulatory impacts and proactively prepare the organization </li><li>Strong research and data interpretation skills </li></ul>
