<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required. One year of experience as a Prisoner Transportation Officer preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet automated systems is required. A valid driver's license is required. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Transportation Coordinator provides oversight of daily trip activities throughout TransCor America's network. Records pertinent information into a database and reports incidents to appropriate levels of command. Acts as frontline responder to trip incidents, while ensuring adherence to TransCor America policies and procedures.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>The incumbent should be able to perform all the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively and coherently while answering incoming telephone calls from employees, customers and others. </li><li>Initiates, updates and ends trip activities in the Prisoner Extradition and Control System (PECS). </li><li>Record trip related data and complete reports accurately in accordance with protocols established by management. </li><li>Monitors transportation teams to ensure timeliness of scheduled trips. </li><li>Receives incidents and completes reports. Requests appropriate documentation. Notifies the appropriate staff and monitors and updates through resolution. </li><li>Monitors weather conditions and natural disasters and escalate potential issues to the appropriate level. </li><li>Must be able to multi-task all essential functions timely and accurately while prioritizing information. </li><li>Assist with front lobby duties such as greeting and assisting all visitors, managing phone calls, and ensuring the lobby is well maintained and secure. </li><li>Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to all guests and employees. </li><li>Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required.
