<p>Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to join a healthcare company located in Philadelphia, PA through an onsite, permanent position. The Biomedical Equipment Technician will focus primarily on ensuring the safety, compliance, and peak performance of biomedical equipment through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician include:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver superior levels of equipment and departmental service and support while keeping up with preventative maintenance (PM) to adhere with consistently high compliancy standards </li><li>Administer safety checks, upkeep, and installations of biomedical and communications equipment </li><li>Identify and preserve supporting technical literature, such as reference standards and other documentation pertinent to the biomedical program's success </li><li>Keep team up to date on newfound developments by giving presentations to small groups and provide hands-on training regarding biomedical equipment and electrical safety </li><li>Partake in new equipment assessments, purchases, and setting up </li><li>Review FDA, ECRI and/or other device recall and issue sources to identify if any of the covered equipment is malfunctioning, review incident reports </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the Biomedical Equipment Technician include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma required, Associate's degree is desired</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience executing repairs and preventive maintenance on both universal and particular biomedical equipment; GE PCS/Telemetry knowledge is highly desired</p> </li><li> <p>Licenses and Certifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) and/or Military (DoD) Biomedical Equipment Technician certification</p> </li><li> <p>Vendor and manufacturer (OEM) repair/training certification(s) or comparable qualifications</p> </li><li> <p>Work Schedule Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Standard Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm (8-Hour Day, Split Shift); potential after hours, weekend, and holiday work</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Biomedical Equipment Technician includes:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly Rate: $30-$ 35/hour pay rate </li><li>Available benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 403(b) plan, etc. </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 03/01/2026.
