<p>JOB SUMMARY Sizer School, a North Central Charter Essential School, is seeking a Digital Literacy and Computer Science Teacher to join our educational team. This teacher is responsible for teaching Technology I and II classes guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks as well as classes in Digital Art. This candidate will bring a passion for implementing best instructional practices, and a commitment to further promote an already existing positive collaborative teaching and learning environment. Only those candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be a part of an exemplary, innovative public middle/high school need apply.</p> <p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Teaches Technology I and Technology II classes guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks; teaches Digital Art classes or technology electives; Promotes the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality instruction and encouraging students to think independently and to express original ideas; Designs units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks; Demonstrates instructional practices that reflect cultural proficiency as well as creates a safe and effective classroom environment; Adapts instruction, materials, and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students, including English learners and students with disabilities; Designs learning experiences that are informed by data and address prioritized standards; Reflects on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning; Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress; Administers formative and summative assessments in alignment with grade-level needs; and Participates in school-wide and subject specific professional development and grade level team collaborative meetings.</p> <p>SIZER SCHOOL MISSION Sizer is a public school where students are known personally, challenged intellectually, and participate actively.
