No If Temporary, enter End Date: Position Summary</p> <p>The Communication and Media Studies Department at SUNY Cortland invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Media Production. This position will teach and assess learning in the practice of media production, with a primary emphasis on digital media production.</p> <p>This is a generalist position designed to attract candidates with diverse professional and creative backgrounds across media production. Applicants are encouraged to identify their primary area(s) of expertise within their application materials. The department provides students with hands-on opportunities through internships, study abroad, and student-run media organizations, including campus radio, television, and newspaper outlets.</p> <p>In 2026, the department will move into a newly renovated facility with expanded production, studio, and post-production spaces.</p> <p>Teaching</p> <p>The successful candidate will teach a range of media production courses.
