Give every player equal attention regardless of skill level. Must be familiar with ultimate rules, regulations, terminology, and gameplay.</p> <p>Essential job functions include the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Teach Ultimate skills and game strategies including:</p> </li><li> <p>Defense (person and zone)</p> </li><li> <p>A variety of offensive formations</p> </li><li> <p>A variety of throwing/catching techniques</p> </li><li> <p>Fitness drills</p> </li><li> <p>Instruct players in the rules, regulations, and technique of the sport.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize daily practices and game plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Emphasize team work, good sportsmanship and appropriate sports participant behaviors.</p> </li><li> <p>Models appropriate behavior towards players, officials and spectators.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide a supportive environment during practices and games.</p> </li><li> <p>Track participant attendance during practices and games, including ensuring parent pick-up for participants.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining the care of athletic equipment and proper storage.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in team administrative responsibilities if needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend team and program planning meetings as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working with high school students. </li><li>Previous experience playing Ultimate. </li><li>Previous coaching experience. </li><li>Ability to teach basic to advanced fundamentals and skills during practices and games (defense, offense, scoring, and throwing/catching techniques, fitness) </li><li>Maintaining the care of athletic equipment and proper storage. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.</p>
