Owen County Lower Elementary houses pre-school and grades K through 2, Owen County Upper Elementary served grades 3 - 5 last year, but will serve only grades 3 & 4 in the 11/12 school year. Maurice Bowling Middle School served grades 6-8 in 10/11, with 5th graders joining the middle school in the fall of 2011, and Owen County High School serves grades 9 -12. Owen County High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
