<p>Mechanical Professional Engineer (Orlando)</p> <p>Department: MEP</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Orlando, FL</p> <p>Description</p> <p>CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine.</p> <p>We are seeking the following Florida licensed professional engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) - Orlando, FL </li></ul> <p>Our Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting and leading projects from inception to completion. designing mechanical and plumbing systems and mentoring junior staff. This role includes maintaining project schedules, interfacing with clients, and delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>-Primary Responsibilities-- </li><li>Design and develop mechanical and plumbing systems independently. </li><li>Prepare and revise documentation across various project phases. </li><li>Manage and execute mechanical engineering deliverables across multiple projects in a dynamic work environment. </li><li>Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for projects of varying complexity. </li><li>Prepare data sheets and specifications for equipment procurement. </li><li>Conduct quality assurance and control on personal and peer projects. </li><li>Assist in creating new standards and specifications for the mechanical engineering group. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommend changes to approaches and client services as needed. </li><li>Participate in client/vendor/contractor project requirement meetings, value analysis sessions, and cost estimating activities. </li><li>Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and related documents. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>-Position Requirements-- </li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university </li><li>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida or ability to attain reciprocity. NCEES record and ability to obtain PE in other states is a plus. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Boilers, Chillers, and Central Heating (CH) systems. </li><li>Project experience in designing Mechanical/HVAC systems for various markets, including commercial, utility, industrial, institutional and municipal. </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, energy/load simulation software, and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Proficiency in mechanical design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar tools. </li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and design principles. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software's platforms. </li><li>Strong project management and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement. </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets. </li><li>Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines. </li><li>Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>-Compensation & Benefits-- </li><li>Dependent upon experience. </li><li>CPH offers Medical, Dental and Vision and Long-Term Disability with a quality insurance company. </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability. </li><li>401K, Paid Personal Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Paid Paternal Leave </li></ul> <p>CPH is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug Free Work Environment Employer.</p>
