<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Preference Card Program Manager is responsible for driving system-wide standardization optimization and governance of surgical preference cards across all surgical sites. This role leads to the implementation of recommendations from clinical improvement collaboratives (such as Vizient) ensures alignment with clinical workflows and supports supply chain and informatics integration. A critical component of this position involves change management; guiding stakeholders through system transitions standardizing processes and ensuring sustainable adoption through communication education and engagement.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization?s values of Compassion Accountability Respect and Excellence as these guide our everyday actions with patients customers and one another.</p> <p>Governance Implementation & Standardization</p> <p>Lead the implementation of Vizient workgroup recommendations to establish standardized system-level preference card governance.</p> <p>Defining and enforcing governance structures roles review cycles and escalation pathways to ensure consistency across surgical sites.</p> <p>Stakeholder Collaboration</p> <p>Partner with IS/IT clinical informatics surgeons OR leadership and supply chain to align the procedure dictionary preference cards and clinical workflows.</p> <p>Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to guide effective decision-making and process alignment.</p> <p>Surgical Procedure Dictionary Optimization</p> <p>Oversee a comprehensive review of the surgical procedure dictionary in partnership with perioperative stakeholders.</p> <p>Eliminate redundancies standardize nomenclature and ensure accurate linkage to preference cards and clinical documentation.</p> <p>Preference Card Review & Optimization</p> <p>Lead system-wide analysis of existing preference cards to identify outdated content inefficiencies and clinical variation.</p> <p>Collaborate with surgeons nurses and SPD teams to revise and standardize content based on best practices and clinical accuracy.</p> <p>Supply & Equipment Accuracy</p> <p>Ensure accurate documentation of surgical equipment set requirements positioning devices implants and specialty supplies within each preference card.</p> <p>Coordinate with SPD and supply chain to maintain alignment between preference cards and inventory management systems.</p> <p>Data Integrity & Usability</p> <p>Enhance the usability accuracy and data structure of preference cards for improved case preparation cost control and supply chain integration.</p> <p>Utilize data analytics to track usage variation and compliance with standardized practices.</p> <p>Change Management & Training</p> <p>Develop and execute a comprehensive change management plan including communication stakeholder engagement and resistance mitigation.</p> <p>Deliver clear and tailored communication to all stakeholders and coordinate training to support the adoption of new systems and workflows.</p> <p>Monitor post-implementation feedback and adapt strategies to support continuous improvement.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Other information:</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>Bachelor?s degree in nursing Healthcare Administration Clinical Informatics or a related field</p> <p>Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.</p> <p>American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.</p> <p>The current active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required and certification in perioperative nursing (e.g. CNOR) is a plus.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Minimum of 15 years of direct experience in surgical preference card management optimization or governance</p> <p>At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operating room (OR) management or perioperative services</p> <p>Deep understanding of surgical workflows perioperative systems and the intersection of clinical and operational data</p> <p>Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level process improvement or clinical standardization initiatives</p> <p>Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills</p> <p>Strong analytical mindset and project execution capability</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:</p> <p>None.</p> <p>Brown University Health is an Equal Opportunity employer.
