We will prepare delicious meals for you daily! </li></ul> <p>The Safety Director is responsible for ensuring that the highest level of safety and security standards are maintained to protect the residents, employees, and visitors, as well as the assets of our community. They interact with various departments ensuring general safety practices are being adhered to. Extensive resident and employee interaction is also required, as it pertains to routine issues as well as sensitive situations. The Safety Director has direct oversight of the Safety Department which is responsible for emergency response, life safety, OSHA and workplace training, disaster preparedness, investigations such as Workers Compensation claims, theft, etc.</p> <p>This is a full time, onsite, position located in Woodland Hills, California.</p> <p>Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000 (DOE) plus 15% annual bonus potential.</p> <p>PRINCIPLE DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the daily operation of the Safety Department. </li><li>Maintains records of all Community Incident Reports and Daily Officer Logs. Maintains records of liability matters and litigated matters associated with Workers Compensation and general liability. </li><li>Responsible for accident investigations for all Workers Compensation claims and near miss accidents in the community. Responsible for conducting root cause analysis for all accidents, to prevent future occurrences. </li><li>Responsible for proactively finding ways to mitigate multidisciplinary risk, by actively conducting community and department risk assessments. </li><li>Maintains the labor and operational budgets for the Safety Department. Responsible for reviewing monthly operating statements and completing variance reports. </li><li>Serves as a liaison for the community with law enforcement or fire department, and other governmental agencies. </li><li>First responder to all emergencies on property; including resident and employee medical emergencies, fire alarms and large-scale incidents. </li><li>Responsible for the daily monitoring and maintenance of the resident pendant system, Resident door monitoring, emergency pendant alerts, smoke alarms, fire alarm system, sprinkler system, camera system, access control system, and other security/life safety systems. </li><li>Provides ongoing life safety training program to employees across the community; including CPR, First Aid, AED and other classes as needed. </li><li>Selects, trains, evaluates, and coaches Safety staff. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels in the Safety Department. </li><li>Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual testing of the fire alarm and sprinkler systems. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. Responsible for the ongoing training of all staff on a variety of safety and OSHA related topics. </li><li>Provides ongoing education to residents and employees covering a variety of topics. </li><li>Actively participates on the safety, emergency preparedness, quality improvement/assurance and other community committees. </li><li>Responsible for parking systems management for both Residents and staff. </li><li>Responsible for 24-hour Community patrols to monitor security and safety of Community. Patrol Community and utilize tracking and monitoring system. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>At least two years of management experience supervising others is required. </li><li>EMT or Paramedic certified. </li><li>Experience in a long-term care, hospital or other health care setting. </li><li>Disaster preparedness experience is highly desirable. </li><li>CPR/AED, First Aid Instructor preferred. </li><li>Experience with fire and sprinkler system test/inspect is highly desirable. </li><li>Knowledge of NFPA 1, 25, 72, 99 and 101 highly desirable </li></ul> <p>. #ZR</p> <p>#Wisteria1</p>
