<p>Title: Part-Time HVAC/R Technology Evening Instructor-Jackson Main Campus</p> <p>Employee Classification: Faculty</p> <p>Institution: TCAT-Jackson</p> <p>Department: HVAC/R</p> <p>Campus Location: TCAT Jackson</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate the classroom instructional process: develop, plan, and prepare a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aids; maintain attendance and grade records; monitor conduct, safety, and discipline during training. </li><li>Remain current within the instructional field and technologies, attend scheduled professional development activities, and update plans to meet professional requirements. </li><li>Continuously meet standards to maintain HVAC Excellence program accreditation. </li><li>Visit area employers and assist with the placement of students in the workforce. </li><li>Participate in recruiting and evaluating students for programs. </li><li>Participate in professional development activities, including cooperating with outside agencies and program advisory committees; conduct two committee meetings annually. </li></ul> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent required; technical diploma or higher in the HVAC/R trade preferred. </li><li>Minimum five (5) years of successful work experience as an HVAC Technician in industrial, residential, and/or commercial HVAC systems, including installation and service. </li><li>EPA Section 608 Universal Certification. </li><li>Communication skills necessary to teach students; teaching experience is preferred. </li><li>Commitment to remain current in the HVAC/R profession. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Must commit to remain current in the field of HVAC/R. </li><li>Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude. </li><li>Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions. </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. </li><li>Ability to maintain positive working relationships with local industry partners. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands / Working Conditions</p> <p>{sTAOther1}</p>
