<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Perform a wide variety of technical MRI procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate MRI skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to MRI personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program. </li></ul> <p>License & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License </li><li>CPR - CPR </li><li>ARRT(MR) - MRI within two years of hire </li><li>ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment. </li><li>Must be able to move and lift patients, equipment and supplies on a regular basis. </li><li>Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. intermittently throughout shift. </li><li>Ability to lift over 100 lbs. without assistance and/or mechanical aid. </li><li>Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met. </li><li>Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Weekends, Saturday and Sunday </li><li>7 am - 11pm </li></ul>
