<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Endoscope Reprocessing Technician Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Endoscope Reprocessing Technicians are responsible for the high-level disinfection and sterilization of endoscopes and other medical instruments used in surgical procedures and patient examinations.</p> <p>They play a vital role in maintaining patient safety and preventing infections.</p> <p>The duties and responsibilities of Endoscope Reprocessing Technicians include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Follow strict reprocessing procedures to clean, disinfect and store endoscopes and other medical equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect endoscopes and other instruments for any damage, wear and tear before and after sterilization</p> </li><li> <p>Perform leak testing of the endoscopes to check for any defects</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble and prepare equipment for use, ensuring all necessary components are present and in working order</p> </li><li> <p>Document all processes, including sterilization times, equipment used, and any issues or irregularities</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to all infection control and safety standards</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain inventory of all endoscopy equipment and supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with medical staff to ensure the availability of clean and sterilized endoscopes as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in ongoing training and education on new equipment, procedures, and safety protocols</p> </li><li> <p>Detailed oriented</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Qualification:</p> <p>High School Diploma.</p> <p>Previous Lab expereince preferred.</p>
