We are looking for an experienced, compassionate leader to join our Family Assistance Policy team at the Bureau for Family Assistance as a Family Assistance Policy Program Manager. In this position, you will lead and develop statewide programs and teams while receiving ongoing support, professional growth opportunities, and performance feedback to advance your career. Our teams also receive a full benefits package that includes 12 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick leave, medical insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and much more!</p> <p>The Family Assistance Policy Program Manager will play a critical role that will oversee and direct a variety of statewide efforts to serve vulnerable community members, while guiding and empowering program and support staff. This position will lead the planning, development, and administration of essential initiatives including LIHEAP, 20% Utility Program, Burial Assistance, Refugee and Resettlement, Emergency Assistance, Tel-Assistance, and Link-Up, with additional involvement in SNAP, SNAP E&T, DSNAP, and SEBT. Part of the direct and lasting impact of this role will include regular collaboration with both internal and external agencies, as well as travel and overnight stays.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Under general direction, the Family Assistance Policy Program Manager will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Designing and administering state plans, policies, and procedures for effective service delivery.</p> </li><li> <p>Creating long-term strategies and conducting program evaluations to ensure services provided remain effective, efficient, and aligned with agency goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to encourage their professional growth and ensure high performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating with federal partners and agencies to align efforts and improve program outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Overseeing contracts, legislative compliance, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Leading grant preparation and monitoring program efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Designing public-facing informational materials to enhance greater community awareness.</p> </li><li> <p>Offering technical assistance and policy guidance to staff, county offices, and partner agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Contributing to fiscal planning and recommendations, legislative updates, and reporting efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Navigating complex and sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy.</p> </li></ul> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training:Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.</p> <p>Substitution:One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.</p> <p>Experience:Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.</p> <p>Substitution:Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.</p> <p>Areas of Assignment:</p> <p>Behavioral Health</p> <p>Community Health</p> <p>Emergency Medical Services</p> <p>Environmental Health</p> <p>General Administration</p> <p>Health</p> <p>Health Facilities Licensure and Certification</p> <p>Health Planning</p> <p>Health Promotion</p> <p>Investigation</p> <p>Legal</p> <p>Rural Health</p> <p>Social Services</p> <p>Volunteer Services</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>BFA only - One year of experience as a supervisor in Economic Services may substitute for the 1 year of program administration experience.</p>
