<p>We are hiring an Engineering Technician I/II in the Public Works Engineering Support Division. This position will perform a variety of duties related to the procurement of construction and professional services contractors. The role will primarily serve as a liaison between Public Works Project Managers and the Public Works Contracts Division to coordinate the documents required for the procurement process.</p> <p>Representative work functions may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating the submission of required supporting documents including required forms & plans from Project Mangers to the Contracts Division for Invitations to Bid (ITBs) for construction including Annual Renewable Indefinite Quantity (ARIQ) contracts, Annual Service Contracts (ASCs),and stand-alone bid contracts. </li><li>Coordinating the submission of required supporting documents from Project Mangers to the Contracts Division for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) including A&E/Professional Services contracts, Design-Build contracts, and Job Order Contracts (JOC). </li><li>Coordinate standard contract Front Ends & Front End Manual </li><li>Perform various audits including Pre-Award Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Audits. </li><li>Coordinate with Contracts division for procurement tracking, planning, and forecasting. </li><li>Provide assistance with contract administration and inspection services as needed for CIP projects, including rate reviews and document coordination. </li><li>Prepare and/or review engineering cost estimates and compile and track construction bid tab information. </li><li>Limited plan review to ensure plan coordination with contract documents. </li><li>Perform basic engineering calculations for proposed highway alignments, detail sheets, section sheets, summary sheets, profile and cross-section sheets, etc. </li><li>Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements and demanding by those duties describing or less as stated in the linked job description.
