<p>Job Title: Protection and Control Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Protection and Control Engineer to join our dynamic substation team. The role involves developing and revising existing drawings for one-line and three-line diagrams, grounding, schematics, and wiring, as well as control and relaying panels. You will coordinate with CAD operators to produce high-quality CAD drawings, integrate protection and control drawings with the physical layout of substations, and design interfacing with SCADA systems and communications, including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing control and relay panel layouts, assembling specifications, creating project criteria, and developing design specifications, including the overall bill of materials.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and revise existing drawings for one-line and three-line diagrams, grounding, schematics, and wiring. </li><li>Coordinate with CAD operators to develop organized and quality CAD drawings. </li><li>Integrate protection and control drawings with the physical layout and design of substations. </li><li>Design interfacing with SCADA systems and communications, including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs. </li><li>Develop control and relay panel layouts and assemble specifications. </li><li>Create project criteria and develop design specifications, including the overall bill of materials. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>3-6 years of Protection & Controls Design Engineering experience in projects up to 500kV. </li><li>Engineering Degree. </li><li>Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Substation design experience. </li><li>Experience in electrical engineering. </li><li>Ability to work remotely with 5+ years of relevant experience. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing the engineer to work from home 1-2 days per week. The role is part of a Substation Group consisting of around 22 people, including engineers, designers, and drafters. The team is divided into both Physical and P&C groups. The engineer must work out of one of two offices located in Lansdale, PA or Orlando, FL.
