<p>As a CDL- A Driver for ASG you will have the ability to operate both utility cable trucks and roll-off trucks in support of telecom and utility construction projects. This role plays a key part in the safe and timely removal and transportation of cable, materials, and debris to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a solid work ethic, and experience in construction or utility environments.</p> <p>What we're looking for:</p> <p>Honesty - You will be working in a team that relies on honesty and transparency to achieve our goals and deliver quality results.</p> <p>Accountability - We expect all employees to take accountability for their behaviors & actions while working at ASG to create a safe & professional work environment.</p> <p>Integrity - As a company, we are committed to integrity and excellence in our industry, and we seek candidates who share our vision and passion.</p> <p>Respect - Respect and professionalism are core values for this role, as you will be interacting with customers, partners, and colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds.</p> <p>What we offer:</p> <p>Pay Scale:? $30 - $40 / hour</p> <p>Benefits & Perks:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive benefits plan including Medical, Dental, and Vision. </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>18% Verizon Wireless discount (primary line only, excludes unlimited plans) </li><li>Extensive voluntary benefit options including Pet Insurance, Aflac plans & Legal </li><li>Gym/Exercise Facility Reimbursement through qualifying medical plans </li><li>Generous paid time off and 8 company-paid holidays (plus 1 floating holiday) </li></ul> <p>What you'll do:?(Including, but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Understand and practice all safety procedures in compliance with the DOT and OSHA standards. </li><li>Load, secure, and transport utility scrap cable </li><li>Deliver dumpster containers to job sites and drop-off locations </li><li>Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections </li><li>Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery documentation </li><li>Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and dispatch </li><li>Assist with loading and unloading as needed using appropriate equipment </li><li>Ensure company equipment and all materials are up-to-date and safety compliant. </li><li>Collect and dispose of any scraps, excess materials, and waste; clean and maintain equipment. </li><li>Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. </li><li>Complete any required documentation and paperwork for the project. </li><li>Monitor and maintain the equipment and machinery, set up equipment daily and specifically for each project. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need:</p> <p>General</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record</p> </li><li> <p>New Class A drivers welcome</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with roll-off trucks preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with utility or telecom construction a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate winches, reels, and related cable equipment safely</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience within the scope of work; OSHA certified a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify and distinguish colors of utility flags and markings on the ground.</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced knowledge of utility construction practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when required.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read gauges, dials, and other indicators.</p> </li></ul> <p>Technical</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of first aid in the classroom, as well as operating procedures </li><li>Crane license may be required dependent on city and state </li><li>Ability to read gauges, dials, and other indicators </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of reading blueprints and manuals </li><li>Requires excellent communication and customer service skills </li><li>Highly organized?and detail-oriented </li><li>Self-motivated and able to work independently </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite </li></ul> <p>Job Type:?Full-Time?- Hourly (Non-Exempt)</p> <p>Your Working Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Working outdoors in the elements year-round. </li></ul> <p>Your Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Physical movements such as climbing, lifting, and moving materials up to 100lbs.
