Upperline Health is based out of Nashville, TN and has operations in 130+ clinic locations across Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.</p> <p>We put patients at the center of value-based care.</p> <p>This role is remote and open to candidates who actively reside in AL, GA, FL, IN, IL, KY, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, or TX. This position requires travel to various markets across the U.S. for EMR implementations, with an expectation of 60-70% travel.</p> <p>About the Manager, EMR Technology & Care Delivery Position</p> <p>Upperline Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, EMR Technology & Care Delivery to join our growing team. The Manager, EMR (Athena) is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the Athena electronic medical records (EMR) system within the organization. This role will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure the effective adoption and use of Athena, driving improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive EMR strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. </li><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and address EMR-related challenges and opportunities. </li><li>Lead EMR implementations for new partners, including the EMR build, data migration, and training </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, vendors and stakeholders. </li><li>Support the Athena EMR system, including project planning, configuration, data migration, and user training. </li><li>Lead efforts to optimize the Athena system to meet the organization's specific needs and workflows. </li><li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of the EMR system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. </li><li>Support the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for clinical and administrative staff on the use of Athena. </li><li>Support the development of an application performance program, including UI responsiveness, overall quality of releases, adherence to regulatory and legal change, and general business continuity. </li><li>Provide ongoing support and assistance to users, addressing their questions and resolving issues promptly. </li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement related to EMR utilization. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to EMR systems, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and other relevant standards. </li><li>Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in EMR implementation and management. </li><li>Contribute to the management and integrity of EMR data, ensuring data accuracy, security, and accessibility. </li><li>Leverage EMR data to support clinical decision-making, quality improvement initiatives, and research efforts. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare IT, with a focus on EMR implementation and management. </li><li>Proven experience with Athena EMR systems, including deep knowledge of its features, functionality, and best practices is required. </li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. </li><li>Excellent project management and organizational skills. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards related to EMR systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with data analytics and reporting tools. </li><li>Knowledge of interoperability standards and healthcare information exchange. </li><li>Experience with cloud-based EMR solutions. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualities:</p> <ul> <li>Passion for improving patient care through the use of technology. </li><li>Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing healthcare environment. </li><li>Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Comprehensive benefit options include medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and parental leave.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Compensation is commensurate with similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience.</p>
